About Hahn Ranch...

A modern “trail drive…”  Cattle travel the fifteen miles to and from summer range on livestock trailers.  This reduces stress on the cattle, as well as lowering labor costs.  Some of the riders say it reduces their stress levels as well!

Hahn Ranch has been located in the Broadwater Valley of the Missouri River near Townsend, MT for over 100 years.  In 1952, the ranch was relocated to its current headquarters as Canyon Ferry Dam was constructed and began creating Canyon Ferry Reservoir.

Hahn Ranch is an agribusiness of interconnected agricultural enterprises:

· Cattle production

· Hay and forage production

· Small grains production

· Retail farm, ranch, and building supply business

· Commercial trucking and freight brokerage

· Upland game bird hunting

We strive to balance efficient production with consideration for our environmental resources.  We constantly evaluate our production methods and make adjustments accordingly.  For instance, we practice rangeland monitoring and conservation farming.  We believe that if we take care of the land, it will take care of our needs for the future.
